| I bet most of you would like to have a fresh start in 2009. Well, the same goes to me. By the end of 2009, I hope I would be able to achieve all the things I've been planning in the past two weeks. I've just started applying for a job and am currently waiting for their replies, hopefully some positive responses when they do reach me. Besides the anticipation of flexing my muscles in the scientific field, my sister and I are also planning to run an online business by selling items such as watches, crafts and collectibles. I'm glad that my idea has been supported by some of my friends, who have been doing really well in this sort of window shopping business. And being in the early twenties myself, sometimes I've found myself tend to think in a more adventurous and money-minded way. I've this strange feeling of wanting to earn enough money and feeling secured, at least financially, prior to entering my early-thirties. Haha! Maybe the fear of feeling old when looking at people who are four to five years younger than me has steered me to work harder when I am still young, both physically and mentally. But before I could succeed, I'll have to do my homework and collect some relevant data so that I'll be fully prepared when a difficulty does arise. Till then, my friends, all the best in chasing your dreams and hope your hard work will bear fruit this coming December. | | |
| Yuppp, it was mum's 48th birthday. We bought her a big Mango cake decorated with raisins, some lovely strawberries and grain flakes. It took a while though to get the materials we wanted for decoration purpose but was definitely worth the wait and effort. The end product turned out to be sweet and tasty, thankfully. I hope mum did enjoy herself and had a great birthday celebration with us. Thank you for your patience in the past few years and wish you will have a great, healthy year ahead with our accompany.

| Just one and a half month ago, on a Friday morning, the biomed people had their Med Micro (MIC3802) poster presentations along the lab corridor. There were lots of colourful posters pasted onto the wall prior to being assessed by their respective demonstrators plus, of course, Poing's favourite lecturer, Dr. Stacey. Ngkeh. Haha! The so-called conference by Dr. Stacey, started at approximately 9 am and some of them even dressed in formal attires. It was an enlivened occasion, and many of us walked around to take photos with friends and listen to their presentations. We were then assessed accordingly where Rishi, my partner, and I had to present our poster to both Kah Yan and Alfred. We were pretty pleased that we managed to respond to most of the questions. The poster presentation ended about two hours later, at 11 am. Winners for the three best posters were announced and given prizes few days later. Congrats to all the winners and keep up the good works, people!
Our poster focuses on one of the most common genital tract infections faced by ladies

| There goes my final paper and possibly, final semester in Monash barely two days ago. So, where does my future lie now? Just before I get serious in looking for a job soon, let just try what would it be if I were them. The picture below were edited using PhotoFunia and some of them really look great with my face on them. Me think. Haha! Have a relaxing moment and enjoy, people! Oh and one more thing, many thanks to my loyal readers despite the lack of updates for the past few months. Goodnight.
After the Brad-Angel-Jennifer affair, it's commoting to get involved in David-Victoria's marriage
Being "wanted" and "hunted" for only 390 bucks for being a wizard?
Superman, batman and spiderman gonna give way to Rabbit-man, a new hero for the kids
Work my way to be a president of the US, like what Barack Obama did recently?
Not a bad idea to be a Santa Claus, who only needs to work for one day per year
How about becoming a pirate if fails in the attempt to be a superhero like Rabbit-man?
Be someone great and part of the history?
Oh nooo...no wayyy...no way mannn, yucks that's disgusting

| Nope, it isn't referring to the TVB HK drama starring handsome guys like Raymond and Ron, but instead to four friends who had to take CHM2741 a.k.a. instrumental analysis in the recently concluded semester. Among three of them, I actually got to know Madeline first since she also took Immuno (IMM3802) and Med Micro (MIC3802) with me. She then introduced me to Shing Ying and Lawrence, who were taking Biotech units in their third year. I am the youngest among all, being the only 1987 baby, while the eldest will leave it to you to find out since Madeline has been trying so hard to hide her age. Haha! I understand youth is everything to a lady, especially to the young and pretty ones. I really do, :P! So, we worked as a team for all eight practical and also shared some funs while working, let alone helping each other when any of us needed help. It was fun, really, despite under stressful conditions of having to get our results right in order to write up a decent report for submission. One interesting fact is that the girls were never punctual despite staying so near to the campus, often leaving me and Lawrence to have extra works. Haha! I never blame them though, I understand girls always have to allocate more time for make-up. I remember the time when they, especially the girls, called me up to discuss about the reports and we would spend a long time on the phone chit-chatting, and stating our own arguments and opinions for the reports should we have any disagreement. Thinking of every single thing between us, time flies and another semester has just come to an end, which means that all four of us will be apart chasing our own dreams. Madeline is probably gonna look for a job in Singapore. Shing Ying has one year left in her pursuit of double degree whereas Lawrence has yet to endure Dr. Kan's bored-to-death lectures in MBB (BTH3752) in his upcoming final semester. Me? It looks likely I will follow Madeline's path in finding a job in hospital lab. Not being able to further my studies, regardless of a double degree, a master degree or more ambitiously PhD degree, will be a regret, a lifelong regret. But I have never blame my parents for all these. We have gone through a very difficult period since last year and I am really glad that unity still exists in each of the family members. I know I have been given the chance to study until this level and thankfully, I have taken it. Certainly my younger siblings deserve to have their own chances too as long as they are interested in studies. Just before I leave, I wish Madeline, Shing Ying and Lawrence all the best in their respective future, and we shall meet up soon before we head for our to-be-decided destinations. The road ahead is still a long...long...long way to go! Dare to dream, my dear friends. From left to right: Lawrence, me, Shing Ying and Madeline have a shot in the chemistry lab
